We have been closely following the developments in Bangladesh over the past few weeks. We are deeply saddened by the loss of life in the demonstrations.

We hope that the announced future interim government will lead the country to elections in accordance with the Constitution, and that the elections will contribute to democracy, peace and stability of brotherly Bangladesh.
