Dear citizens, Polish friends and visitors,

As we celebrate the 100th anniversary of our Republic, I have officially started my duty by presenting my Letter of Credence to the President of Poland, His Excellency Andrzej Duda, on October 26, 2023.

It is an important responsibility and a unique source of pride for me to represent our country in Poland, where we have more than 600 years of diplomatic relations and strong historical solidarity, beyond our current friendship and alliance relations.

Celebrating the 100th anniversary of the perpetual Treaty of Friendship, Türkiye and Poland serve as bridges, both physically and metaphorically, between the past and the future, as well as between the east and the west. With these qualities, the historical friendship of the two countries, the values they share and their common interests create a fertile ground for further deepening our bilateral relations.

My main priority during my term in Warsaw will be to further increase the momentum in all dimensions of Turkish-Polish relations, from mutual investments and trade to defence, from education and science to culture and tourism, and to consolidate and institutionalize the deep friendship ties between our peoples. In this regard, I will attach special importance to creating new cooperation opportunities with our Polish friends, both in the public and private sectors.

The Turkish community in Poland, which consists of more than 20 thousand citizens, many business people and thousands of students who are here for education, creates a humanitarian bridge between our countries and is an important investment in the future of our bilateral relations.

During all our work, our Embassy will serve as a home for every Turkish citizen residing or visiting Poland. I will also be in close contact and cooperation with our Polish friends, with whom we have supported each other for centuries.
